The total training duration of an SBI Clerk is six months. The probationary period for SBI clerks begins with induction training at the State Bank Institute of Learning and Development. This period lasts for one to two weeks at the state branch where they are posted. Later, trainees are assigned to their respective branches, where they undergo practical training for the banking process. This period lasts around five months, after which they work as junior associates in their respective branches. If associates are unable to successfully complete their training, their training period will be extended.

The SBI Clerk exam requires a minimum of six months of study to pass. If you can put in equivalent efforts in two months, you can qualify as an SBI Clerk in two months. Here are some expert tips that you may follow to succeed in this exam with two months' study: 1. Read the exam syllabus to understand areas of which you are well aware and require minimal study. 2. Analyze the previous year's question paper to mark important topics. 3. For the initial four weeks, focus on these important and repeating topics. 4. Practice a minimum of three sectional tests in the first month and analyze your improvement. 5. Beginning in the second month, start taking the full-length test in an exam-like setting. 6. Memorize square and cube roots up to 30. Also, memorize tables to speed up numerical calculations. 7. Topics for GS include banking and economics as they relate to CA and GK. 8. In English focus on important topics such as subject-verb agreement, prepositions, and verbs etc. 9. In the last month before the SBI Clerk exam, you should concentrate on accuracy. 10. Q:   In how many years will an SBI Clerk become a PO?

A:
You cannot become a probationary officer (PO) through promotions. However, after three or six years of service as an SBI Clerk you can become an officer. From the clerk position, you have two options for becoming an officer at SBI: 1. You are eligible to join the SBI as a trainee officer (TO) following three years of service. You need to have both JAIIB and CAIIB certifications. After that, you'll need to pass an internal exam that consists of a written test, an interview, and a group discussion. 2. You can advance to the JMGS Scale 1 officer position in the SBI after serving as a clerk for six years. You must also pass an internal exam for this position, but it is much simpler than the TO exam.
