SSC JHT Paper 1 is a Computer Based Test having multiple-choice questions. It consists of two sections- General English and General Hindi. In Paper-I questions will be designed to test the candidates understanding of the languages and literature, correct use of words, phrases and idioms and ability to write the languages correctly and precisely. The questions will be of degree level. Each section has 100 questions and the total time duration is 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. SSC JHT application form is available online. The application fee is INR 100, however, SC/Women/ST/ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment. Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Enrollment Number are mandatory to fill the application form. In the absence of Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Enrollment Number, candidates need to provide details of Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, School/College ID and Employer ID.

SSC JHT 2022 Selection Process

All registered candidates need to first appear in the Paper I exam. Based on the marks scored in Paper I (Computer Based Examination), candidates will be shortlisted to appear in Paper-II exam. Based on the performance in Paper-I and Paper-II, candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification. Final selection and allocation of Ministries/Departments will be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II and the preference of Posts/Departments exercised by them at the time of Document Verification.
