The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, has postponed the Humanities and Social Science Entrance Exam (HSEE) and a new date for the entrance exam will be notified soon. IIT Madras had earlier released the exam date and was to be conducted on July 28, 2020, has now been postponed due to the impact of the global pandemic known as COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Through HSEE, students are offered admission to five-year integrated MA programmes in various courses.
The entrance exam is conducted in two parts, which is MCQs and subjective questions. Students are required to score a minimum of 60% to qualify HSEE. However, a total of 52 seats are offered so students are required to prepare well for the entrance exam in order to get admission to the renowned institute.

The admit card is expected to release two weeks prior to the HSEE entrance exam. Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps on how to download the admit card which is as follows:
Step 1: Visit the official website of HSEE.
Step 2: Click on the link ‘HSEE 2020 Admit Card Download’.
Step 3: Enter your login ID and password.
Step 4: The admit card will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Download the admit card. Take at least two print outs to keep one as back up.

Candidates are advised that the admit card is an important document which needs to be carried to the exam centre. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the entrance exam. Candidates should also keep their admit card after the exam as it will be required during the counselling session.
