Mystory@Joy Rajendra Bhamre

My father made me realize the importance or reading which eventually made me an avid reader, since when I was 8. My teachers despaired of ever getting me to read a sentence but after my father’s initiative, I was the first to read out in class. When I joined the Humanities stream in the 11th, all I knew was that I wanted to become an author. That is when I took a concrete decision for my career.

However, then I met my best friend Rajendra Bhamre (who now is my husband) and he saw more potential in me than I saw in myself. I realised that there was a new freedom in the Humanities stream that provoked me to think and gave wings to my thoughts. All these facts made me opt for Literature in my graduation, as decided I wanted to become a trainer.

How I chose my career path

I was the topper of my school in class 12th boards, and guess what helped me score high? Yes, it was Humanities. There were people who believed in me and taught me to believe in myself. Right from my 8th grade, the English teachers and classmates used to appreciate my reading skills and the same was continued with my professors at the University. If given a chance, I would like to make one change, which is to transform myself into a confident being. I was always conscious about my scores in school and university. But now I need to realise that academics is not only about how much you remember from your textbooks, it is also about how much you believe you can get things right in yourself.

Yes, I chose the right career for myself because I did what I liked to do and found a means of getting paid enough.

There is one very important thing that we do not learn in school or college and that is salary negotiations. Please know your worth and strive towards getting the correct remuneration. Also, please understand that CTC does not mean what you earn in hand, so make sure you understand what your monthly take away is, after things like PF, PT are deducted.

When I began working I wanted everyone to like me but the truth is: You cannot please them all. So, when you work please be very professional, sincere and dedicated. Also, keep a record of all correspondence and everything that you do. But very important, keep some time for your family and yourself. Work life balance is very important.

The MSU BTech admissions are based on scores in Class 12th. 45% in Class 12th is the needed scores for admissions. Some of the commonly accepted entrance tests are GUJCET,  JEE Main, etc.
