I have learned how to adjust while not compromising with my personal beliefs: Antara Bhattacharya

I chose Science after class 10th because I liked the subject and as English can be pursued in every stream, I had no problem in pursuing English Literature after 12th. I had a keen interest in writing and literature. After my board results came out, I applied for Amity University, Lucknow and got selected. Amity is one of those very few colleges that offer an honours course and not just BA, which is exactly what I wanted i.e. a specialization course. Hence, Amity was an obvious choice. Moreover, it was the best choice for me since I was not planning on going out for studies.

I got selected for BA(Hons.)English at Amity University on the basis of my board percentage so I got direct admission and also received a scholarship. Since I scored well in my boards I did not have to give any admission entrance or interview. This was a really happy moment for me.

Most part of my day at college is spent in attending classes. Apart from attending all my classes, I am an active member of the dramatics club. I also like to spend time in the library and the dramatics club. College life has taught me how to effectively work under pressure, how to adhere to deadlines and manage my time efficiently. I have also learned how to adjust with different kinds of people while not compromising with my personal beliefs and values.

I enjoy attending Literature lectures as I find them very interesting. I enjoy reading novels, poetry and short stories. Being a member of the dramatics club, I take part in a lot of street plays and other events or performances.

Amity has given me the ability to believe in my skills and talents, it has built confidence in me to perform better day by day!
