Yes, MCA programme is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and we are among very few in the country where MCA programme is consecutively accredited by NBA.

Yes Masters in Computers Applications is offered at the faculty. It is 3 year PG course and the subjects prepare the students with in depth knowledge of programming with a sound theoretical background & practical exposure in various areas of computer science, such as computational theory, programming, algorithm design and optimisation, network, and database administration.

You need a bachelor's degree of at least 3 years in any discipline from a recognised university.
Your overall graduation score should be minimum 60% (for general category). For SC/ST candidates it's 55%.
You must have studied Mathematics either in 10+2 or during graduation.
Final admission is usually based on merit of 10th + 12th + graduation marks, but the basic minimum is graduation with 60%.
So in short: 60% in graduation + maths studied earlier is the key eligibility.

For MCA at Lovely Professional University (LPU), admission normally requires a graduation degree (like BCA, B.Sc., B.Com, BA) with relevant subjects and minimum marks, and selection is based on the LPUNEST entrance test unless you qualify under specific exemptions (e.g., 80%+ in graduation) — merely having 92% in 12th is not enough for direct MCA admission because it doesn't replace graduation requirements or LPUNEST criteria.
You can still get admission without LPUNEST if you meet alternative criteria the university accepts, but LPUNEST helps both eligibility and scholarships, and taking it increases your chances and scholarship amo

At LPU, placement for BCA students is generally decent. Many IT and tech companies visit the campus every year, and a good number of BCA students get opportunities in roles like software development, testing, support, and related fields. While big packages may go to top performers, most students still manage to secure decent job offers through the placement cell, internships, and industry tie-ups, making it a reasonable option if you're aiming for a tech career.
