CDAC C-CAT 2026 Results & Counselling Schedule: Key Dates for Feb Batch

With the conclusion of the CDAC Common Admission Test (C-CAT) 2026 on January 11, candidates will now be looking ahead to the next stages of the admission process for the February 2026 PG Certificate courses by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). This blog will cover the next steps involved in admission process into the CDAC postgraduate certificate courses. 

Following the completion of the CDAC Common Admission Test (C-CAT) 2026 on January 10 and 11, 2026, CDAC is going to begin the post-exam admission process for its February 2026 PG Certificate programmes. Checkout the most crucial events in the coming weeks.

CDAC C-CAT 2026 Result Declaration

Date: January 22, 2026

After the exam, CDAC will evaluate the responses and declare the C-CAT 2026 results online.

• Results will be accessible through on official portal https://www.cdac.in/index.aspx?id=studentslogin

• Scorecard and rank details are going to be published online

• Rank card is mandatory for counselling and seat allotment

Release of Merit / Rank List

Date: January 22, 2026

CDAC will prepare a centralised merit list based on candidate performance.

• Admissions will be conducted strictly on merit

• Higher ranks surely have better chances of going their preferred programmes and centres allotted

• No re-evaluation or separate entrance exam

First Counselling: Online Selection of Courses and Centres

Dates: January 22 – 28, 2026

Eligible candidates must participate in the first round of counselling by selecting their preferred PG Certificate courses and CDAC centres online. Choices should be filled carefully based on-

• Rank of the candidate
• Eligibility criteria
• Previous years’ cutoff trends

A Pan-CDAC online Q&A session related to counselling and seat allocation is going to be held on January 27, 2026 (3:00 PM).

First Round Seat Allotment

Date: January 30, 2026

Based on rank, preferences, and seat availability, CDAC will announce the first round of seat allotment.

• Allotment results will be published online

• Candidates can check their allotment status through login

• Options for further rounds or upgradation may be available

Seat Acceptance & Fee Payment

Last Date: February 4, 2026 (till 5:00 PM)

Candidates who receive a seat must confirm their admission within the given deadline.

• Online seat acceptance is mandatory

• Advance programme fee payment (INR 10,000 + GST) is required to secure their allotted seats

Failure to complete this step may lead to cancellation of allotment

Additional Seat Allocation Rounds

Date: February 6 - 17 2026

If seats remain vacant, CDAC will be conducting 3 additional counselling and allotment rounds

• Candidates not allotted seats earlier can participate

• Seat upgradation options may be available

• Timely action is crucial in each round

Admission Confirmation 

Last Date: February 23, 2026

After successful verification of their documents, candidates will receive final admission confirmation.

• Confirmation will be issued by the allotted institute

• Reporting instructions and joining details will be shared

• Orientation schedules may also be announced

• Cadidates must pay the balance course fee by February 23, 2026 to complete the admission process.

Commencement of February 2026 Batch

Start Date: February 25, 2026
End Date: August 11, 2026
