Students seeking admission to the college shall have to apply in the prescribed form available with the Prospectus. The completely filled up admission form must be submitted to the office of the college within the stipulated date. The candidate must obtain a receipt from the office as a record of submission of the form, which may be kept in person till the admission procedure is completed. Candidates must submit photocopies of documents, but they have to produce them in original at the time of admission.

Gauhati University offers admission on the basis of merit acquired in the last qualifying exam, and entrance scores. To get admission to Guwahati University, candidates must fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria. For UG courses, candidates must have qualified Class 12 from any recognised national or state board with the specified minimum aggregate. Similarly, for PG courses, candidates must have completed graduation with the specified minimum aggregate from any recognised university/ institute. Dibrugarh University offers admission to courses based on entrance and requires for candidates to secure valid scores in the accepted entrance exams. The University offers courses such as BSc, BTech, BPharma, BEd, MSc, MBA and many more in full-time and distant mode.

Admission to majority of UG level courses require for candidates to secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 and previous entrance examination. Whereas, for admission to PG level courses, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in graduation. Apart from this, the University accepts valid scores of entrance exams such as JEE Main, DUEE, MAT, CAT, XAT, CMAT, GATE, NEET PG and others.
