No, CLAT is not a compulsory exam to study for LLB. Some other exams include  MHCET LAW, etc. Candidates interested in joining top NLUs can appear for this exam because NLUs only accept CLAT scores. The Consortium of NLUs administers the Common Law Admission Test (or CLAT) on a nationwide basis for admission to 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and 1-year LLM (PG) programmes.
