Merit-based admissions are used at Banaras Hindu University's (BHU) Faculty of Law. This indicates that candidates are chosen based on both their academic standing and how well they performed on the admission exam.

Candidates must take the Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) in order to be considered for undergraduate admissions. Every year, the UET is held in April or May.
