Best in DU for journalism.
Placements: Placements are very poor here, as most companies don't prefer freshers, journalism jobs largely refer to people with a PG or PG Diploma. Placements for Journalism via the college are not at all present however, by building your skills, internships are possible.
Infrastructure: A media lab is present at the journalism department. The projectors are present in 2 rooms, and both are air-conditioned, however, the infrastructure is very old. Cameras, tripods, and microphones are very old and not working, for an evolving job like journalism, modern infrastructure is very much needed.
Faculty: Faculty is top-notch. Journalism Honors is regarded as the best course in Kamala Nehru College, recently our department joined UNESCO's media and literacy alliance. However, the university syllabus is very old, outdated concepts are included in the syllabus and AI, social media, and such modern topics are not covered. If you are looking for modern journalism, go to a private university.
Other: The course fee is Rs. 25,650, and it's indeed value for money. The crowd here is very nice, very genuine, and good people. Societies are going to give headaches for months, but still it will be worth the memories produced.

My college, Kamala Nehru College and the teachers, facilities, and curriculum.
Placements: 10 percent of students got placed. 5 LPA is the package offered. Times Network and NDTV are the recruiting companies. 50 percent of students got internships. Roles are offered in communication and social media. Big media companies came for the placement opportunity. Also, the recruitment is smooth and fair, and the top recruitment happens mainly in journalism and commerce courses. I must recommend it for the best facilities like faculty and food.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. I would rate 3 for labs, 5 for classrooms, 5 for the library, and 5 out of 5 for food. There are network jammers in exam halls mainly to avoid cheating. The food, library, and classrooms are in good condition. If you want to choose a college for study, KNC is the best fit for you and your future.
Faculty: Exams are not difficult. 90 percent is the passing percentage. Teachers are very helpful. They provide notes on time, and the way of teaching is also incredible, as they give fair time to complete each topic. Talking about industry-readiness, practical knowledge is not provided.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in journalism. Practical knowledge is great.

Review of Kamala Nehru College.
Placements: Not knowing the exact percentage but as of the 1st year, many students got internships in Hindustan and Dainik Jagran even I also got an internship in Dainik Jagran only. Top recruiters are mainly the media houses and advertising companies or pr as well. Top roles are editor-in-chief, content writer, and working for news agencies as an intern or editor.
Infrastructure: We don't have hostels. Mostly KNC people live in PGs owned by local Delhiites, and KNC's infrastructure. If I talk, it is kind of poor and still needs major changes, but it has started working as our main building has been built along with that. Since I'm a journalism student, we have a different department offered, so it's quite nice for us.
Faculty: The faculty is the best. No matter what people say about infrastructure, the faculty, especially of KNC, is far better than that of LSR, and that's why I love it here. Even though it is a South Campus college, it is so good, and I have to say that the teachers of the journalism department are the best.
Other: Fest would be the best thing if your friends are nice. It would be my 2nd year, and I hope it will stay like this only.

One of the best for Journalism.
Placements: A decent number of students were placed in my course. The course is good and the faculty of journalism is amazing. The environment is pretty good too. As for the placement facility, it is average or sometimes dull. You need to find opportunities for yourself. Although the college does help, the work is mostly done by you.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is overall decent. A new building just got made, which has all the facilities. Wi-Fi is there. There are spacious classrooms. However, washrooms need to be cleaned. College does not provide hostel facilities. But you'll get plenty of PG accommodations nearby for girls. The surroundings are nice, as it is in the heart of South Delhi near Hauz Khas. Overall, it's decent and appreciable.
Faculty: Faculty and curriculum are just excellent for journalism. There are expert teachers in the field with great experience. However, there is a lack of practical sessions. But overall, the faculty and curriculum are good. For Journalism, Kamala Nehru College is one of the best.

Good college, good faculty, good opportunities, good people.
Placements: Journalism has strong alumni recruitment, and the placement cell helps with internships. Although most of the work falls on the student at the end of the day, it doesn't matter which college you are in. The efforts do. The journalism department offers a strong background to help you bag internships and achieve your goals.
Infrastructure: The journalism department has a separate building, which is a huge plus. There is air conditioning in the OSR, where many classes happen, as well as the Media Lab. Even the psychology labs have gotten AC now. It is a bit of an issue sometimes when seating isn't available due to a large number of students. The library is also very nice and has a lift. The garden is beautifully maintained. The campus itself is clean, the ground is vast, and it is a great area for students. The Chaupal is the best part. And it is very aesthetic. The canteen and cafe are great.
Faculty: The faculty is one of a kind in the journalism department. Especially Ramesh Sir, who always strives to do the best for his students. All of the teachers are qualified, knowledgeable in their courses and provide information for anything you might need. The curriculum is easy and very relevant to the course. The exams are again easy but important enough in the field. The semester exams are a breeze if you pay attention in class. Everybody almost always passes, and it is easy to get a high GPA.
Other: The annual fest, Ullas, is always great. It is such a fun event to enjoy with your friends. I do wish there were more amenities in this college, like table Wi-Fi, AC in all classrooms, better management and fewer cancellations of classes at the last minute.

I am satisfied with the faculty members.
Placements: There is no guarantee of getting placed, but they organise field trips which help in getting more on-ground reports from newspapers. Field trips are useful for making connections. We visited the Times of India industry and camera museum. We also attended media conclaves which helped in making good connections. It also visited the Doordarshan office.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel. The infrastructure is not that bad. It does not have a green room. Wi-Fi facility is available in the whole college. Only one camera is there for 140 students of journalism which makes it difficult to have practical knowledge. There is no fault of the faculty members because college management is not providing full infrastructure and rooms to teachers so that they can teach students with practice skill sets.
Faculty: Teachers are the best, and one of the best journalisms. They are very well experienced. The course curriculum is relevant. The semester exam's difficulty level is not much. It is easy to score marks. The course curriculum makes students ready for the job because teachers teach so well that we don't feel that we are not getting any practical knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a journalist. One thing I wish to improve in this course is the practical knowledge about the concept, which is not possible due to the lack of infrastructure.

Had great college life here at KNC it became like a home and I had a lot of fun.
Placements: There is no placement guaranteed you have to find your own pace but exposure to field trips is on another level. Try to make your contacts with seniors but don't rely on them. Its a girls college, in B.Com and other field more placement comes like EY.
Infrastructure: Library is good with AC facilities, Wi-Fi is available, and water cooler facilities are also there. You get access to reading materials, and e-library, and try to utilize as much as you can, classrooms are normal but journalism has its own separate building.
Faculty: Teachers here at KNC are very supportive, they do everything to benefit you, flexible in assignments and work projects, they want you to score as high as possible but you need to work hard for internals and written exams, the curriculum followed is the latest as per DU level. The exam level is quite easy.
Other: Fest is top-notch, crowd is diverse, and scholarship is provided to students.

Learn it all from KNC Women.
Placements: I don't have much idea about packages, but they have internship or placement opportunities in Journalism, Photography, and Media Advertising. There are lots of advertising companies, and also, there are lots of freelancing opportunities available for students.
Infrastructure: The Journalism facility is the best facility, no doubt. There is free Wi-Fi, and the classrooms are literally so cool with smart classes they have sometimes. The library is actually the best part of the college. The quality of food is good, and the cafeteria is also so neat and clean, no doubt.
Faculty: Yes, no doubt, the teachers are very helpful. They are so knowledgeable and very friendly. The course is very good for us, the curriculum is very relevant to the course, and the exams are not difficult if you study well. The passing percentage is 98%. Overall, it's good.
