Good experience loved it.
Placements: More for commerce students and economic students. For students pursuing humanitarian courses, getting internships and placements are difficult as not many companies are approached. Top recruits are offered as much as 45 LPA. But those are from the background.
Infrastructure: Cute ambiance 2-3 cafes are there. But Wi-Fi is not as good. The library is on several floors, great for bibliophiles. Sports teams are top-notch. Labs are also pretty good. The lawns are Amazing. Medical facilities are also available and there are lifts in the new building.
Faculty: The faculty is average for my course, the teachers are not very helpful but the course is interesting. Semester exams are difficult. You will struggle a bit to get a good internship and it is difficult, especially for a journalism course. Keep networking.
Other: All the best. It's a ride.

Review of Lady Shri Ram College for Women.
Placements: Around 10%-12% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was approximately 4 LPA-5 LPA. Recruiting companies for our college are Byju's, Eat My News and Times Internet. Top roles offered in our course are probably content creator, copywriter and research analyst. Around 10%-15% of the students got internships in companies like Eat My News, Times Internet, Femina, etc.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility isn't available here. There are separate classrooms and a lab for our department. But there is no separate library. The infrastructure of the hostel is average, but the food served is good. Medical facilities are up to the mark, and the food served in the canteen is inexpensive. The canteen is a good place to have meals. Facilities regarding sports and games are also provided well.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good, but the number of teachers is less for our department. Teachers don't conduct our practical classes. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not completely help the students to get ready for the industry as practical knowledge provided to us is not up to the mark.
Other: I always wanted to do journalism as I have been interested in exploring the field of food journalism. So this course is a good choice. The best thing about our course is that I got to discover a lot of other fields like advertising and public relations in which I got interested. I wish more companies like Fox Travel or NDTV Good Times should visit our college for recruitment or internship opportunities. I also wish to seek more practicality from this course. Our department organises its annual academic meet, which is great. Our college organises a fest named Tarang is also really good. The campus crowd is really diverse, and everything is interesting here.

Review of Lady Shri Ram College for Women.
Placements: A lot of students didn't attend placement drives since the job profiles barely matched the majority of people's options. They were mostly related to HR, economics or commerce. Not all attended for placements because they wanted to study further. However, with a field like journalism, you'll have to do a lot of internships and build contacts to grab a job or at least an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is amazing. Students can make use of all of them. Students should be up to date and take the initiative and talk to the professors to help you out. Students can make groups with their friends and actively take part in societies present in the college. They can write articles, shoot documentaries, and watch films. We used to have 2 lectures every week allotted for watching films that personally helped me develop an interest in the same.
Faculty: Few of the faculty members were helpful. The course is amazing and allows you to lay your hands on all aspects of journalism and mass communication. It is a must-do course for someone who wants to build their career in journalism. It has subjects ranging from reporting and editing for print to new media, media ethics and laws to film studies all combined in 3 years.
Other: Juxtapose is the annual academic meet of the department which allows you to learn a lot, meet the best journalists and peers from other colleges doing the course similar to yours. It's an enriching experience.

Good Facilities and Infrastructure.
Placements: We have an active placement cell in our college that works throughout the year to provide internships in companies like IDBI bank, Google, Nestle etc. And also helps in the placements of the seniors. A lot of seniors were placed in great companies like J shaw, Mickensy and even Nestle. The roles that were offered were according to their own department. For journalism we have HR, Content Writers and Reporters.
Infrastructure: The College Infrastructure is well maintained. The journalism dept has their classes in the new block of the college which has lifts and a separate media lab. The media lab is well eqiped with equipments, a studio and a recording room. The college also has a Library, Reference Section, Medical Room, Auditorium and a huge Amphitheatre.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified. They know what they're teaching and provides us with good quality notes and other information. They actively participate in helping students in other curricular activities as well. The notes and readings provided by the faculty helps us achieve good marks.
Other: The college also organises the cultural festival Tarang every year. Its a three day long festival organised by the student council along with the organising committee.

Once in a lifetime experience.
Placements: Various companies come to college for different departments. The highest chances for getting placed are for economics, commerce, stats, et al., subjects. The package is always good, better than other colleges of DU. LSR is a prestigious institution. Hence, LSR alumni are respected everywhere. 50% of the students got internships. The highest stipend offered was up to 60,000 per month. It is efficient and useful as it is run in collaboration with the students and teachers.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are spacious and airy. There are labs for different departments like a computer lab, stats lab, psychology lab, media lab, etc. The computer lab has mac systems for students. The hostel rooms are well lit and airy. We call canteen, a cafe, and the food that is served there is delicious, and the area is airy. The campus is very green, and the college has received awards for its greenery in the past.
Faculty: The course design is very rich. The professors were qualified, and research-orientated whenever required. There are enough teachers for the students. During my time in college, I worked with newspapers like Hindustan Times and the Pioneer. There used to be guest lectures by the people from Journalism industry.
Other: If you want to be in a different world and experience the liberal environment while graduating, go to LSR. It's near Moolchand Metro Station in front of GK. Tarang, the annual fest is a mesmerising experience.

Other: LSR provides young women from across the country an exceptional space to learn and grow. Not only are the teaching standards high, the composition of the student community is extremely diverse. The infrastructure is equipped to support students from all social and economic backgrounds. I am lucky to be a part of this institute. There are very few drawbacks of the college. One of which would be the semesters being extremely intensive, when it comes to academics leaving hardly any time to do anything else. But people with good time management skills make the most out of both their own course and extra co-curricular opportunities. The faculty is also a mixed bag. While I have been taught by teachers who have left an indelible mark on me, I have been also taught by the kind, I wouldn’t say were good enough to be teaching in an institution with such reputation.

The reality of Placements in LSR.
Placements: There are very less chances of placement from the journalism department as the companies catering to journalism that come to LSR are less or almost nil. But you can get into some consultancy roles or other roles open to humanities students through the placement cell.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi facility campus wide. The infrastructure is nice with great accessibility for specially able students. The classrooms are decent with projectors in all of them. The media lab needs upgrade in the sense that it needs more equipments.
Faculty: The faculty is fine and the course structure is a little old it needs to be improvise as per the modern times. But, there are a variety of subjects that we are taught broadens ones horizons. The semester exams are not very difficult you can score good in low effort but keep in mind internal marks also matter.
Other: I wanted to pursue journalism and LSR stood out on the list. I like that we get a variety of papers which gives a perspective and knowledge of almost everything that is related to journalism. The annual department fest is also great.

Review of Lady Shri Ram College.
Placements: Around 100% placements are provided. Placements also given in PR, social media management, etc.
Infrastructure: There are no air-conditioners in classrooms but are provided in the media lab and the library. Food is good. There is Wi-Fi but doesn't work very well. Classrooms are good. Gardens are beautiful. Hostel and food are nice.
Faculty: Faculty is amazing and perfect. The course is easy, interesting, and fun to study. The media lab is nice.
Other: It is a great course that helps to learn a lot. There are activities and fests going on regularly. This is a good college to study journalism.

Hi Srishti, You are eligible as per the minimum criteria, but the problem is high cutoff. Generally, it goes very high, above 90%. That is why it will be difficult for you to get admission in this college. Try for some other private colleges.
