How to prepare Quantitative Aptitude for TANCET 2025: Quick Tips

Learn formulas and shortcuts: A lot of questions in the Quantitative Aptitude section are formula-based. Candidates are advised to make a list of all the important formulae and shortcuts and memorise them. Candidates should ensure that they use these shortcuts and formulas to solve questions in minimum possible time. Candidates can also make a note of TANCET topics that they find tricky and should spare some extra time on them.

Revision: The strategy to ace the Quantitative Aptitude section is to revise all the important topics in TANCET syllabus from time to time. Without regular practice, aspirants will lose out on the learning and the ability to solve questions within the stipulated time. Hence, it is important to revise through regular time-bound practice sessions.

Practise Sectional Mocks: With little more than a month left for TANCET 2025, candidates should focus on taking sectional mock test of TANCET. It is the best way for self-assessment and could help students evaluate their performance based on current preparation. Candidates can take full-length mocks once they score comfortably well in sectional mocks. Additionally, candidates should also solve TANCET previous year question papers to better understand the exam format.

Don’t overlook your weak links: The only way to score well in the QA section of TANCET 2025 is to build a base on all topics of the QA syllabus. There is still some time left for the exam and aspirants can refer to online exam portals to sort out their queries in their weak areas or they can take help of a mentor or teacher with expertise over these areas. Also, while improving their weak points, candidates should relentlessly work to build on their strengths.

Q:   What is the difficulty level of TANCET exam?
Q:   What is the best study material available for TANCET exam preparation?
Q:   How can I perform well in English section of TANCET exam?

Balance accuracy with speed: For success in TANCET, the accuracy and the speed with which a candidate solves the question paper should go hand in hand. One who will succeed in striking a perfect balance between these two factors will surely excel in TANCET exam. Even though there is no negative marking scheme, test-takers should not compromise on the accuracy to increase the attempts, because even If they do not lose marks for wrong attempts, they will end up losing time.

Time Management: Aspirants should improve their time management strategy. While the sections are not time-bound, it is not recommended to spend ample amount of time in one section. For each question, candidates should not spend more than four to five minutes. Hence, candidates should build on mental calculation ability and speed by memorising tables, square roots, formulae and other shortcut steps to arrive at the answer in a shorter duration. Since calculators are not allowed inside the exam hall of TANCET, it would be futile to practice with  the aid of a calculator and being dependent on it.
