IIM Bodh Gaya Campus

The thing that sets IIM BG apart is the fact that it is situated in a particularly advantageous location from the perspective of obtaining knowledge; hence it is referred to as "The Enlightening IIM."

IIM Bodh Gaya (IIM BG) has a campus that spans approximately 119 acres and is covered in verdant vegetation. This campus, which is located in the vicinity of the place of enlightenment, exudes beauty in every nook and cranny of its expansive territory. Construction on the campus is currently underway, and it is anticipated that by July 2022, 80 per cent of the overall development will be finished. There will be an academic block in a single enormous building and a hostel block that will have approximately five to six buildings. Eight to ten buildings are set reserved for the use of faculty and staff residences. The medical facility features a designated block that is contained within a single structure. The auditorium is located in its very own standalone structure.

Facilities Available for Studies

On the new campus, every single facility is held to the same exacting standards that are expected at an international level. Students have access to every facility on campus that can benefit them in their day-to-day academic pursuits, including computer labs, libraries, classrooms, auditoriums, learning resource centres, and wireless networks. The classrooms are outfitted with all of the most up-to-date facilities, allowing for more interactive lessons and increased student participation throughout the course of the session. In order to facilitate efficient and uninterrupted work around the clock, computer labs are equipped with high-speed LAN connectivity. The library's resources have been expanded to include a large number of journals, and it also has a connection to the national digital library.

Co-Curricular Activities at IIM Bodh Gaya

The campus is outfitted with sports facilities, including ones for both indoor and outdoor games, with the goal of fostering the students' overall growth and development. A separate stadium that is solely devoted to outdoor activities, such as cricket, badminton, volleyball and other similar sports has recently been constructed. This stadium encompasses almost all of the available playing fields. In addition to this, there is a building devoted to the use of indoor games such as table tennis, carom and chess among others. The sporting goods store carries every piece of equipment that is required for participation in any game. 

Hostel and Mess Facilities at IIM Bodh Gaya

According to those who are familiar with the situation, the IIM BG campus is currently constructing a four-building hostel with a capacity of 150 students each. Due to Magadh University's location, the exterior hostel infrastructure does not appear to be of the highest quality right now. Most MBA students live in single-occupancy rooms, with a few double rooms available. Both boys and girls face the same problem. Currently, there are three blocks available for rent, two of which are designated for male residents and one reserved for female residents. Currently, there are five dormitory buildings on campus, each with rooms for 110 students. Additionally, each floor of the hostel has two washing machines, which is a perk. In addition to these amenities, laundry services are available at a reasonable cost.

The student council itself makes major decisions about various activities related to mess. To ensure that the hostel runs smoothly, a committee, called the 'Hostel & Mess Committee' (HMC) is formed to oversee all day-to-day operations. It is only after consulting with the other students present that the HMC comes to a decision on the meal's menu. A new menu is added roughly every 35-45 days.

Transportation Facilities

Despite the fact that the campus is situated in a location that is not particularly close to Gaya's central business district, it is still very easy to get to the campus using public transportation. There are a number of different transportation options available right next to the college's main entrance gate. However, there is no public transportation available on campus. In addition to that, it is forbidden for any student to have his or her own vehicle on campus.

We are all aware that each campus possesses its own unique charm, but the thing that sets IIM BG apart is the fact that it is situated in a particularly advantageous location from the perspective of obtaining knowledge; hence it is referred to as "The Enlightening IIM."
