IIM Ranchi Admission Policy 2017-2019: PI and CAT 2016 allotted same weightage

The Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi has allotted equal weightage to PI and CAT 2016 in its admission criteria for PGP 2017-2019.

The candidates who have scored above 90 percentile are likely to be invited by the institute for PI/WAT round. The PI/WAT process of IIM Ranchi will be the same as other eight new IIMs, namely IIM Amritsar, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur. The selected candidates of all the new IIMs will be merged to make a combined short-list for further processing.

The cutoff percentile for consideration in the selection for PI/WAT round is as follows:

The criteria given above is based last year admission, this year the cutoff may be higher.

The PI/WAT round will be conducted in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore. The candidates will be sent PI invitation via email.

Post the PI/WAT round the admission committee will select the candidates for admission on the basis of composite score. For final selection not only CAT and WAT/PI will be taken into consideration but also the candidates’ academic performance, work experience and diversity.
