I chose AIMS because I always wanted to add up value to my education, says Mayuri

Honestly, I was confused while choosing my stream for further studies i.e., Class 11 and 12, because I got 85 per cent in Class 10, so, everyone wanted me to go for Science stream. And, I know we all face this situation and confusion except those who have already planned something else. But I took this decision on my own. Because I realised that I have to know my interest and where I can do my best. So, I choose Commerce and currently I am very much happy with my decision because I am loving what I am doing. And I would like to add that never take such decisions under force. Try to know your capabilities and interest before making decisions.

I chose AIMS - Atharva Institute of Management Studies because I always wanted to add up value to my education and Atharva’s campus &  PGDM programme provides various opportunities to each and every student by arranging events, mock GD, mock PI  and by giving guidance. In PGDM, I chose HR as my specialisation because working as an HR will give me growth in my career. Because this profile will allow me to handle the wholesome responsibility of the organization by managing the talent force. And I believe my personality suits this profile.

I appeared for the CET that is Common Entrance Test in the year 2020. I did not undergo any coaching for that examination.

After passing CET, I applied to Atharva Institute of Management Studies for my post-graduation. This was the first college where I applied and I got a call for my interview from college. I went through the interview and I cleared it successfully. I always wanted to do my MBA/ PGDM from Mumbai and this was my place.

I faced some challenges due to the pandemic situation. Everything was online, my interview was also on google meet which was very much new for me and I was not that comfortable with online mode because I never went through such an online kind of interview. But coronavirus has given a new normal to entire world and we had to adjust accordingly. So, keeping this into my mind I just calmed myself and gave the interview.

Atharva Institution of management studies changed my life.

I am from a small town and I have already missed many opportunities and I have faced challenges in my life due to fewer facilities in the town where I live. I always wanted to be a part of various activities which will improve me and develop me. As I have already mentioned I am a person who likes active participation in activities, events, etc.

This college gave me an opportunity of hosting and building a strong personality. I am a part of leadership talk and alumni talk for hosting.  As well as I am a Member of the placement committee of students. Also, Worked as a coordinator in some of the events. Various events are conducted by the college every week to brush students' skills & to give them corporate exposure.

This experience made me confident. And helped me to look forward to more and more opportunities that will help me in the future.

I like the subjects which are related to human behaviour, learning and management development, training and development, performance management.

I am looking for opportunities that will help me to grow in my career and help me to learn continuously.
