Regular interactive sessions, team building and group exercises are conducted for the students' betterment. The personality development, design thinking and corporate leadership sessions are also helping us to widen our thought process.

I belong to a family of engineers and love C++ coding. This was the main reason for me to choose the Science stream in the 12th standard. I have been the one who had a knack for marketing domain and was always quite active in networking with my peers, seniors, and experienced professionals. So, I opted for the Mass Communication course that helped me to excel in my skillset. After being into a corporate job for 3 years, I realized the importance of doing post-graduation. Being a bit unclear about switching my career, I decided to consult my seniors who were MBA graduates. They insisted me to give it a try. One of my seniors told me that adding a higher education degree would be like a cherry on the top of a cake for my professional career. Following his advice, I started looking and researching various B-schools. I wanted a college that not only focuses on education but also on my overall development through their 360-degree approach. While choosing my dream college, I had certain criteria in my mind such as a big campus, a good brand name etc. Fortunately, IMT Hyderabad had it all and finally, I decided to pursue my post-graduation from IMT Hyderabad.

IMT Hyderabad is the latest entrant in the legacy of the IMT Group of Institutions and hence, its cut-offs are relatively lower compared to other colleges. So, it was one of the best options for an average scoring student like me. I knew that I need to score a minimum of 75% to meet the cut-off but scoring this was a challenge as I was preparing for it along with my full-time job. Hence, I thought of joining private coaching classes that were specially curated to provide expert guidance to working professionals. The classes were conducted during the weekends for 8 hours. These classes helped us in understanding the basics and solving the questions at the same time. The one thing I liked the most was one-on-one mentor sessions followed by regular mock tests.

IMT Hyderabad was among the top choices for me but to be honest, I was also preparing for FORE School of Management, KJ Somaiyya and XIMB. I even got admission to two of the above colleges but was not able to get Marketing as a specialization in any of these colleges. That's why I chose IMT Hyderabad with my desired course. The college name plays an important role in your career. But in the end, it would be your credibility and domain knowledge that will land you in your dream company.

The campus plays an integral part in the overall growth of a student but due to the pandemic, we have been deprived of that as of now. We have been attending online classes which have made the learning a bit slower. But, since this is the new normal, the students and faculties are trying their level best to better the experience every day. The faculties are more compassionate towards students and the students have become more attentive to the classes. Regular interactive sessions, team building and group exercises are conducted for the students' betterment. The personality development, design thinking and corporate leadership sessions are also helping us to widen our thought process.

Right from conducting clubs and committees meetings at midnight to organizing various events, the college has kept its tagline 'IMT NEVER SLEEPS' intact even in this pandemic. The college has organized various literary and creative events such as poetry, photography, meme-making etc for its students. The various clubs and committees have made sure to give us an overview of the extracurricular activities held in the college. Such activities not only help you to gel up with your classmates but also make sure you do not stop learning new things every day. I am a member of 5 clubs and committees naming MRC – Media Relations Committee, TedxIMTHyderabad, Mezzo- The Mess Committee, Tassavur- the Creativity Club and CommWing- the Communications Club. All these clubs and committees organize various events to reduce the communication gap between seniors and juniors students and make them interact with each other.

If given a chance, every student would have just wished to enter the college and begin their next phase of life and that is what my feelings are. Though it is in online mode now, still we are enjoying it to some extent. But I wish to live it fully in the time to come. Talking about changes in my personality, I have become more considerate and patient. The pandemic has made us understand that everyone is having a difficult time to adjust with the current changes and we should always try to understand everyone's point of view calmly.
