Journey of my life from Engineering to PGDM: Mansi Gandhi
On the very first day after completing class 12th, not only had I made up my mind about what I was going to be in future, but I had already become a chemical engineer in my mind, as I was confident about pursuing my career in that field. So, my story is the journey from mind to reality- from becoming a chemical engineer to PGDM graduate.
While I was pursuing chemical Engineering, I started taking coaching from Career Launcher, Delhi. I used to travel from Meerut to Delhi every weekend. I was managing both, my Engineering as well as my preparation. After the results came out, I got admission in Taxila Business School, where my journey of PGDM and SAP began.
I am pursuing PGDM in Operations and Marketing, and I am a trained SAP consultant in sales and distribution module. I learned a lot during this journey. With my leadership qualities, I became the president of CII Yuva Chaupal. Also, I am the founder of a social group ‘Ahimsa.’ Our team works towards bringing changes in the society.
My internship during PGDM at Treebo Hotels was a life changing experience for me, where I worked for two months as an operations management intern and proved to be an asset for the organisation. I got awarded as the best intern for converting 150 leads and organising 3 seminars in a month.
Talking about my interests, I have a personal blog. I like to travel and explore new places. Also, I love to express my thoughts on social media. I have worked with an event management company as a content writer, which enhanced my writing skills. I have organised various events and fests in my college.
I also want to share a real life experience. On a college trip, I went for YHAI Goa Trekking Expedition, during which, I got an injury on my foot. I was unable to walk properly but I never gave up and completed the trek in the utterly difficult situation.
After completing my PGDM, I am looking forward to working in a SAP-based company. Then,
10 years down the line, I want to become a social entrepreneur and set up my own NGO to serve the society.
So, the journey was not easy. But I kept this in mind- “A jeweller cuts a diamond to enhance its shape. The more cuts it gets, the more expensive it becomes.” This theory made me what I am today. I actually made the setbacks in my life as the advantages in my life.

No, CMAT is not compulsory to get admissions into the PGDM course at Taxila Business School. As the institute accepts scores from other entrance examinations too for admissions to PGDM courses. Therefore, CMAT can be considered as one of the accepted entrance exams for admissions to the PGDM course.
