The only way to succeed in the stock market is through adequate knowledge and proper training, says Akash

I was born and brought up in Guwahati, the capital city of Assam. I was raised by a family where Literature and Culture was the sole priority. My father was an Engineer in the Assam state electricity board and my mother was a Professor but my interest was in music and playing the guitar was my favourite part. In August 2011, I joined KIIT Deemed to be University to pursue engineering, where I got a platform and opportunity to explore my passion for music but due to lack of vision towards a proper career map, I landed into an MNC in Gurgaon. It was my first job but soon I realised 9-5 cubical is not my cup of tea and made me sign off in a month.

I had no concrete plan but with my old friends’ suggestion I decided to appear for KSOM entrance examination – KIITEE Management and got through the MBA programme.

Journey at KSOM

Pursuing MBA in Marketing was one of my best decisions which I realised in the first class delivered by Professor Sugato Tripathy. The 4P’s of marketing made me relate to the practical world of business.  KIIT School of Management,  gave me the exposure to develop my soft skills as well as sales skills with the involvement of multiple clubs (Marketing and Cultural Club) from first semester onwards. Being a part of the organising team for 2016 KOLOSSEUM (the college’s Annual Fest) gave me the actual taste of Marketing which further increased my interest in understanding different types of business models.

That was the turning point where I started to ponder in my hostel to start something of my own. Along with my roommate Ankit, I started an online fashion store that gave birth to business culture in my life. During my journey, I got exposed to different people where the investment world drew my attention after I came across a professional stock market trader. In Feb 2017, in order to fulfill one of my parent’s wish I appeared for a couple of Campus Recruitment processes offered by KSOM and got recruited by Oxford University Press.

Entrepreneurial Journey

Along with my cousin brother Bibhash Sarma and my childhood friend Wasiuz Zaman, both Stock Market Traders, I founded Dream Traders Consultancy hoping to reach out to new, inexperienced traders who would be able to easily access online classrooms from their cell phones at an affordable cost. The only way to succeed in the stock market is through adequate knowledge and proper training for an extensive period of time.

DTC offers courses of three types: Master Course, Zero-to-Hero Course and Basic Course. Master course is in high demand and loved by the Stock Market Trading Community. It starts from Basic Grassroot level to Professional level comprising of 10 Intraday Strategies including the Famous CP-20 Strategy, Risk Management, Controlling Emotions, Trading Psychology, Portfolio Management and Life-time support to every student. It comprises 80 Live Sessions. After-class study materials are provided in the form of PDF files & videos along with periodic assignments. Each student is minutely assessed and trained accordingly. In terms of fees, it charges the lowest in India w.r.t the value, knowledge and time provided along with the option of paying in installment.

Dream Traders Consultancy: Journey into the Future

The journey so far for me has been an extremely rewarding one. Presently the institute is spread across 22 States of India with branches in three Countries: UAE, Kuwait and Oman. The DTC team all set to create superior facilities and better courses for a wider appeal and higher success rate.
