Students’ Speak: Once placed, a student cannot apply for another organisation at Rajagiri B-School
One thing to be kept in mind is that in the case of Rajagiri Business School, a student once placed in a particular company cannot apply to another company no matter what the circumstances might be.
Placements in Rajagiri start during the month of August during the second year of the course. The course duration for MBA and PGDM is two years. Companies visiting the institution can vary each year and as a result, the salary packages offered can also vary. Mostly, the companies that visit the institution are mainly from the marketing domain, which can account for 80-85 percent of the total companies visiting. At the same time, few companies visit the college from operations and business intelligence domain.
Placement processes can contain different rounds depending on the company visiting. Mostly, the rounds contain an aptitude round, a group discussion (GD) and a personal interview (PI). Sometimes the company can also give a specific task for the candidates and the final selection will be based on that particular task. This is most commonly given by companies from the marketing domain.
One thing to be kept in mind is that in the case of Rajagiri Business School, a student once placed in a particular company cannot apply to another company no matter what the circumstances might be. In this case, students should take extra care while applying to the companies coming in for placements. Also, there is an option to opt-out of placements if the student has any other plans for the future after graduation.
The basic criteria for eligibility of placement actually depend on your marks scored. Apart from that, some companies may fix additional criteria such as no history of backlogs, no backlogs at the time of applying for the company, minimum CGPA of 6, etc. Different companies may have different eligibility criteria so it is actually hard to pinpoint unless we have a specific company in mind. Along with this, from the side of the university, you may need to fulfill other conditions as well. This can include securing the required amount of attendance in class, completion of the semesters as per the requirements of the university, adhering to the rules set by the placement committee of various colleges, etc.
Sometimes the placements might be based on the internships that students may have done with the same company. In this case, placements might be based on the performance that the student may have maintained during the time of the internship. If the performance is really good, students may have a chance to secure a pre-placement offer from the company.
