Students' Speak: Post-placement details of IBS Gurgaon

Satyanarayan shares post-placement details including the highest, lowest and average packages secured in the 2019 placement drive in the college.

There are certain steps that should be followed by the students to be eligible for the placement they are:-

1. Having more than 5.5 CGPI in the academics will be the basic criteria for eligibility because below that will be non-eligible for the placement process.
2. The student should have cleared all he named courses prescribed for him/her in the programme including SIP and complete the credits requirement.
3. Fees should be clear and no outstanding dues should be remaining.
4. Discipline plays a vital role in IBS. There should be no investigation or discipline case pending against the student. If there is any, they may not be able to sit in the placement process.
5. Attending regular classes is almost mandatory. Attendance must be more than 75% for exam eligibility and placement as well. Attendance below 75% will not be allowed to write the exam and will lead to further problems.

Placement Details:-

• In 2019, the highest package offered was 16.05 lakh per annum by Black Rock Services in the domain of finance. Tolaram from Middle East offered 17.00 lakh in the field of marketing and sales.
• In 2019, the total strength was 660 from which 95% of students were placed from the campus and 5% were from off the campus who started their own business or contributed to their family business.
• The average salary offered was 6.05 by Deloitte, ICICI Bank, Ernst & Young. The average salary for the top 10% was91 by Black Rock for the profile of business analyst. The average salary for the top 25% was 7.89. The companies that recruited were Federal bank, HDFC bank and ICICI securities.
• There were 223 recruiters who visited the campus for placement.
