XAT 2019 Student Reaction: XLRI Jamshedpur conducted XAT 2019 in 46 test cities across India, The exam was held in Computer bases test mode without any reports of technical glitches. XAT 2019 was conducted for duration of 3 hours and candidates were required to report their allotted test centre for XAT 2019 at least 30 minutes prior than the exam timings for admit card verification and other formalities. Also, this year major changes were made in XAT exam pattern i.e. Removal of Essay writing section and also, reducing test duration from 3 hour 35 minutes to only 180 minutes. Therefore, XAT 2019 was completely based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in 4 sections i.e. Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge section. Arushi Yadav from Gargi College, University of Delhi appeared for XAT 2019 second time and shared that she found the XAT question paper to be difficult as she was not prepared well enough. She said among all the sections of the question paper, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation section was the toughest with most difficult questions, followed by Reasoning/Decision Making section was moderate in difficulty level. Also, she said Verbal and Logical Ability section was easy for her.
Another test taker, Neha shared that Quantitative Aptitude section was a bit on tougher side and also, Verbal and Logical Ability section was moderately difficult. She said Decision Making section was easy among all the sections. She added that she was not prepared well for the exam but candidates who have prepared well with XAT mock tests and previous year question papers would have found the exam average in difficulty level.
Abhishek Singh, who pursued B.Tech from NIT Jamshedpur and is currently working in Gurgaon appeared for XAT second time. He said the XAT 2019 was easier than the exam last year as he found Quant section easier than expected. He also shared the exam was lengthy this year. Moreover, he said that he took XAT mock tests but the actual paper was easier even than the mock tests. He said the overall difficulty level of XAT 2019 was easy as expected.
Smriti who also appeared for XAT second time, she said the question paper this year was easy as compared to last year. She shared that XAT 2019 Quant and Decision Making section was easier than expected. Also she found Verbal Ability section moderate as Logical Reasoning questions in this section were a bit tricky. She added that General Knowledge section was slight difficult, although there were no negative marking but it carried difficult questions.
With XAT 2019 student reaction, it can be analysed that overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. However, if the test takers were prepared well enough with regular mock test practice, then they would have found the exam easy.
XLRI Jamshedpur will soon release XAT Answer Key 2019 in the coming week. Candidates who appeared for XAT 2019 can check the responses sheet and also, raise objections (if any) for the answer key within the specified time duration. After this, a final answer key for XAT 2019 will be released after considering all the objections. XAT Results 2019 are expected to be announced by January 31, 2019 and candidates can check their result in online mode with XAT login using their user ID and password.
