AP NEET counselling dates 2025 have been announced by Dr NT Rao University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), the counselling conducting body, along with the registration process. The AP NEET Special Stray Round web options were invited from December 23 to 26, 2025. NTRUHS released the AP NEET 2025 Counselling Stray Round III seat allotment result for MBBS courses in the Management Quota or NRI category candidates, was released on November 20, 2025. The institute reporting was conducted till November 20, 2025.

This is likely to be the last round of the AP NEET 2025 Counselling. Additional rounds may be conducted in case there are unoccupied seats. 

The AP NEET Counselling 2025 Dates are expected to be scheduled for a duration of three to four months, based on the number of rounds. Each round is conducted for around a week to 10 days. The duration may decrease with each passing round.

Salient Features of the Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling

The Andhra Pradesh NEET 2025 Counselling is being conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by the medical and dental institutes of the state for the 85 per cent State Quota seats.

The Andhra Pradesh NEET 2025 counselling is being held in three to four rounds, such as Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 or mop-up round, and stray vacancy round. After the conclusion of the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling 2025 dates, participating institutes may also conduct their counselling process at the college level to fill the remaining vacant seats (if any).

To participate in the AP NEET counselling 2025, candidates have to register first. Registration for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling has to be done online, and the registration form for various rounds is available on the official website of NTRUHS. 

AP NEET counselling registration is considered and accepted only after the payment of the registration fee. After the successful submission of the NEET counselling registration form, the conducting body released the list of the registered candidates whose applications will be accepted. The registration process will be conducted once for all rounds of counselling. Hence, candidates must register on time. 

Based on the registered candidates, the provisional and final merit lists of AP NEET 2025 counselling are released. After that, the seat matrix is released for the choice filling step. Based on that, the AP NEET counselling 2025 seat allotment result will be declared. 

The candidates whose names are on the list have to report to the document verification centres. After the document verification process, the candidates have to fill their choice of colleges, priority-wise. A provisional list of shortlisted candidates will be released for seat allotment.

After this, the subsequent counselling rounds will take place depending on the cutoff and availability of seats.

Q:   What is the deadline for reporting to the allotted college for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?

In general, the institute reporting process for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling is conducted for three to four days for each round. Candidates will have to check the important dates carefully and report to the institutes within the deadline. In certain cases, the last date of reporting to the institutes is extended. 

Q:   When does the Andhra Pradesh NEET 2025 counselling start?
A: 

AP NEET counselling process 2025 began on July 23, 2025, with the registration process. The last date of registration without late fee was July 29, 2025, 9 PM. The late registration window was from July 30 to August 2, 2025. Candidates belonging to the Management Quota or NRI category had to register between July 28 and August 2, 2025. After that, the provisional merit list was released. Based on the seat matrix, candidates were allowed to fill and lock seat choices, and seats was allotted as per that.

Q:   Are there any reservations for SC/ST/OBC candidates in Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?
A: 

As per the Andhra Pradesh NEET 2025 counselling reservation criteria, the reservation percentage is 15 per cent and six per cent for the SC and ST categories respectively. The Backward Classes are segragated into five sub-categories and the reservation percentage ranges from one per cent to seven per cent. Apart from these categories, there are reservations for Army, NCC, PWD, Police Martyr's Children, female candidates and EWS. The category-wise reservation structure is given in the table below.

Q:   How many seats are offered through Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?

The Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process is conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes. Based on last year's seat matrix, there were 5,335 MBBS and 1,440 BDS seats. 

Q:   Can I fill the application form for Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling offline?
A: 

Candidates cannot fill the Andhra Pradesh NEET application form offline. Only online registrations are invited for AP NEET counselling. Candidates need to visit drntr.uhsap.in website to register for the counselling process.

Q:   What is the registration fee for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?
A: 

The registration fee for Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling is INR 2,950 for General/OBC candidates and INR 2,360 for SC/ST candidates. The late registration fee amount for General/OBC/BC candidates is INR 22,950 and INR 22,360 for the reserved category candidates. Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling fee has to be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking. The registration fee amount has remained the same as last year.

Q:   When will the Andhra Pradesh NEET UG counselling 2025 seat matrix release?
A: 

Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), or the counselling authority of the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling, releases the seat matrix for before each round. Candidates have to fill and submit choices of MBBS and BDS seats based on the seat matrix of Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling for that particular round. For Round 1, AP NEET 2025 Counselling seat matrix was released on August 19, 2025, along with the commencement of the web options or the choice filling process.

Yes, after the declaration of the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling seat allotment result, candidates will be given the option to upgrade the seat choice. Based on that, the counselling authorities will upgrade the seats depending on the choices entered by candidates, in case the desired seat is vacant after the institute reporting process is concluded. However, candidates must note that in case they accept a seat by reporting to the allotted institute, they will not be eligible to participate in the next round of Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling.
