CBSE has reduced the syllabus for the social sciences exam by providing relief to the students of class 10 all over the country.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reduced the CBSE 10th syllabus 2021 for the social sciences exam by providing relief to the students of class 10 all over the country. CBSE took the decision of reducing the syllabus in view of providing leeway to students in the class 10 board examination.

The CBSE 10th exam 2021 for social sciences will be conducted on May 27. A total of five units from the theory topics of the social sciences have been removed for the students. The revised syllabus would be displayed on the official website of CBSE.

Amid pandemic situation arising due to COVID19, the number of working days, for the academic session 2020-21, have been reduced significantly. Most of the students have been provided education through the online medium. Thus, parents, students, and teachers are also in favour of reducing the curriculum for the students.

Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank told that CBSE was advised to reschedule and reduce its syllabus in view of the extraordinary situation arising across the country due to COVID19. As a result, CBSE had reduced the syllabus by 30 per cent for various subjects. A specific syllabus was no longer a part of the board examinations and prescribed subjects scheduled for internal evaluation.

Students preparing for the upcoming board exams for Class 10 must go through the revised CBSE 10th syllabus 2021 and practices solving as many CBSE 10th sample papers and previous years’ question papers as possible. This will make them familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme and the different types of questions asked in the exams every year.
