CBSE has issued a circular on school-level activities for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026. Registrations have crossed 4.2 crore, surpassing last year’s Guinness World Record participation.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular outlining a set of school-level activities to be organised as part of preparations for Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026, annual student interaction led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to CBSE circular, ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha is proposed to be held in last week of January 2026. PPC is held every year to help students approach examinations with confidence and a balanced mindset ahead of board exam season.

Over 4.2 Crore Registrations Recorded So Far

CBSE circular comes at a time when Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 registrations have crossed 4.2 crore, making it one of largest student-centric engagement programmes in country. Participation figures have already surpassed last year’s numbers, which had set a Guinness World Record for highest participation on a citizen engagement platform within a month.

Activities to Be Held Between January 12 and 23

CBSE has directed affiliated schools to conduct a series of activities between January 12 and January 23, 2026, coinciding with National Youth Day and Parakram Diwas.

As per circular, schools are expected to organise:

  • A student run or walk activity on January 12 to promote student participation.
  • A quiz or writing-based competition on January 23, with selected students participating at designated centres.
  • Schools have been asked to document participation and submit reports after completing the activities.
  • Instructions for Schools and Teachers

School heads have been advised to:

  • Encourage wide student participation
  • Conduct activities as per the given schedule
  • Compile and submit activity reports

CBSE stated that these engagements are meant to strengthen student involvement ahead of the national interaction.

Pariksha Pe Charcha is held every year ahead of major examinations, including the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, scheduled to begin in February 2026. The programme focuses on exam preparation, stress management and academic expectations.
