Pariksha Pe Charcha has grown from 22,000 participants in 2018 to around 3.5 crore registrations in 2026. Here’s how PM Modi’s student interaction evolved into a nationwide education platform.

What started as a limited student interaction in 2018 has, over the years has grown into one of India’s largest education focused public engagement programmes. Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), led annually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has seen a steady rise in participation, with registrations for 2026 edition touching around 3.6 crore while application window is still open.

Growing numbers reflect how the programme has become closely linked with school examination cycle, especially for students preparing for CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, which begin in February.

How Pariksha Pe Charcha Expanded Over the Years

Initially conceived as a dialogue on exam stress and preparation, PPC gradually widened its scope. This inclusion of parents and teachers, shift to large-scale digital participation and nationwide outreach through MyGov platform have all contributed to its expansion.

Why PPC Resonates With Board Exam Students

Held shortly before major board examinations, Pariksha Pe Charcha has increasingly been viewed as a preparatory milestone rather than a standalone event. Students use the fresh registration cycle to raise questions around revision strategies, performance pressure and expectations, while parents and teachers participate to share broader academic concerns.

PPC 2026 Registration Window Still Open

Registration process for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, which began in December, remains open on official portal. Students from Classes 6 to 12, along with teachers and parents, can apply before announced deadline in January.

Q:   Does attendance matter in ISC?
A:

In order to clear ISC Class 12, a student is required to have obtained at least 40% marks in four subjects including English on the cumulative average and a minimum attendance of 75% of the working days.

So yes, attendance is very much compulsory to clear the ISC board Class 12. Students must go through the exam pattern and know the ISC syllabus. They must also solve and practice the ISC sample papers and previous years question papers to score well in the exams. Maintaining consistency in studies from the beginning will help students stay focused and will help them stay regular in school and maintain the attendance.
