CEPT Launches Two New Professional Certificate Program

CEPT Professional Programs (CPP), an initiative by CEPT University offering industry-oriented training for professionals in the built environment sector, is now accepting applications for two of its newest on-site certificate programs in Bangalore. These programs aim to unite enthusiasts and practitioners of history, culture, and heritage, creating a platform to not only appreciate architecture but also to identify unique challenges in heritage conservation. Participants will explore inclusive and effective conservation techniques, with a strong focus on community and stakeholder engagement throughout the discussions.

Professional Certificate Program on ‘Design Practices in Bengaluru’

The 'Design Practices in Bengaluru' program is specifically curated for architects, design professionals, real estate experts, urban planners, and design enthusiasts. It offers participants an exclusive opportunity to explore Bengaluru's vibrant design ecosystem, providing first-hand access to some of the city's most renowned projects and the visionaries behind them. This immersive experience is tailored to professionals and enthusiasts looking to gain deeper insights into the innovative design practices shaping the city’s landscape.

The 'Design Practices in Bengaluru' course will be held from January 30 to February 2, 2025, in Bangalore. This four-day on-site program will feature walking tours, visits to key projects across the city, discussions with prominent practitioners and their collaborators, and interactions with renowned architects from Bengaluru. The application deadline is January 21, 2025. Professional Certificate Program in ‘Hampi: Program in Architectural History & Heritage’

The program will take place from February 13 to 16, 2025, at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi. It is open to a wide range of participants, including architects, urban designers, heritage conservationists, historians, and anyone with a deep interest in history, architecture, and cultural heritage. The program will feature guided walks, allowing participants to explore the city's rich urban history and the intricate craftsmanship behind Hampi's distinctive architecture. In addition to on-site lectures, the program will offer evening discussion sessions focusing on heritage management challenges and conservation strategies in the contemporary context.

Speaking about the new programs, Dr Subhrangsu Goswami, Head, CPP, CEPT University said, “The Bengaluru program will immerse participants in the city's vibrant design ecosystem, from historic patronage to contemporary corporate campuses and large-scale housing projects. The Hampi program takes a deeper dive into the past, exploring the architectural brilliance of the Vijayanagara era. Both programs offer intensive learning experiences with a focus on immersive exploration, expert interaction, and collaborative discussions.”
