HITAM Launches Integrated Twinning Program
HITAM 2025: The Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management (HITAM) has introduced its International 3+1+1 Integrated Twinning Program, designed to provide students with a global academic experience. Under this unique model, students will complete three years of undergraduate study at HITAM in India, followed by one year at a leading international university to finish their BTech. They can then pursue an additional year of master’s studies at the same institution. Graduates will earn a BTech degree from JNTUH and a Master’s degree from a globally recognized university.
The program is backed by strategic partnerships with renowned institutions such as the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), and George Mason University (GMU). Graduates will also be eligible for up to three years of work experience in the U.S. through the Optional Practical Training (OPT) pathway. With scholarships and financial aid options available, the program is not only transformative but also financially accessible and inclusive.

Balakista Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Higher Education Council (TGCHE), said during the launch event, "I congratulate HITAM on launching this innovative twinning program in collaboration with leading U.S. universities. Such initiatives provide students with gateways, fostering cross-cultural exchange and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to stay ahead of the curve. As we strive towards the vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047,' education will be a cornerstone in shaping a progressive and empowered nation."

262 students were placed by Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management at the end of its 2023 placement process. The maximum package offered by HITAM College was INR 24 LPA, while the average package was INR 4.40 LPA. For HITAM placements 2023, 91 recruiters from various industries took part. Among the top businesses that took part in the 2023 placement drive were Silicon Labs, Tech Mahindra, Unistring, Maersk, TCS, and Evoke Technologies. Prior to 2022 placements, 339 students were assigned, with INR 10 LPA being the largest package received. Students are prepared for a smooth transition from academic life to business life through the HITAM training programme.
