JEE Main 2020 exam dates unchanged, says HRD Minister; to be reviewed in July 1st week
Amid the demand of students to cancel or postpone JEE Main 2020, Human Resource Development Minister (HRD) Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank clarifies through live interaction with ZEE News that as of now there is no change in the JEE Main 2020 exam dates. They will try to conduct the exam on the scheduled dates i.e on July 18 to 23 in computer-based mode. Addressing to the students and parents, HRD Minister further said that that depending on the current situation of COVID-19 spread in the country, the authorities might review dates in the first week of July about whether to conduct entrance examinations or not.

The tweets by students have shown their concern over the exams. They are still demanding clarification and requesting the HRD Minister to cancel JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 or postpone. Also, the aspirants have posted that they are under deep stress and eventually it is affecting their mental health which is not good for JEE Main preparation.
Joint Entrance Examination - Main or commonly known as JEE Main is conducted by NTA to offer admission to BE/BTech, BPlan and BArch courses at the IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), NITs (National Institute of Technology) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) across the country. Only the top 2.5 lakh score holders in JEE Mains 2020 will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced for admission to various undergraduate engineering programmes offered by IITs in India. The admit card of JEE Main 2020 is scheduled to release 15 days prior to the entrance test.
