KCET 2026 Live Updates: The exam body Karnataka Education Authority (KEA) is conducting the KCET exam for the 2026 sesion from April 22 onwards. The day 1 was limited to the Kannada Language Test, while April 23 and 24 will be dedicated to the main KCET subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology.
As shared by Executive Director H. Prasanna in a video message, this year's exam is being attempted by approximately 3.3 lakh students.
The KCET will be conducted in offline OMR-based format and candidates will have to answer 60 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) per subject (50 for Kannada Language Test), with each paper lasting 80 minutes. A major advantage for students is the lack of negative marking, allowing them to attempt all the questions without the fear of losing the marks.

KCET 2026 Exam day Guidelines

Reach your designated KCET exam center at least 45-60 minutes before the reporting time.

Carry a printed KCET 2026 Admit Card along with a valid Photo ID such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, to the exam centre.

No entry will be permitted after writing time begins, which is 10:40 AM for morning shift and 02:40 PM for afternoon shift.
