Mahindra University Appoints Dr Jayaram Raghunath as Dean of School of Law

With over 25 years of diverse experience in law, spanning corporate practice, academia, and institutional leadership, Dr Jayaram Raghunath aims to enhance legal education in India. 

Mahindra University has appointed Dr Jayaram Raghunath as the new Dean of its School of Law. Dr Raghunath is having an experience of over 25 years and is an academician, legal educator, and researcher. He has diverse experience in law, from corporate practice and academia to institutional leadership. Previously, Dr Raghunath was working in the capacity of Dean at GD Goenka University and Manipal University Jaipur. 

Commenting on his appointment, Dr Jayaram Raghunath said, “This is a defining moment for legal education in India, and I am excited to lead Mahindra University’s School of Law as it pioneers new frontiers with a strong vision and global outlook. We are witnessing a powerful convergence of technology, interdisciplinary learning, and a growing emphasis on ethics and social justice. I look forward to nurturing a dynamic ecosystem at the university that combines academic rigour with innovation, ethics, and social responsibility.”

He is leading pioneering efforts to incorporate professional practice into legal education, including the construction of institutional arbitration centres, which APCAM named the best ADR innovation. His experience is in building learner-centric, industry-aligned curriculum, with a strong emphasis on instructional design, learning assurance, and technology integration, which drives innovation in future-ready education.
