DU CUET Subject Combination: University of Delhi offers 79 undergraduate programs for the Science, Commerce, and Arts stream. Candidates seeking admission to Delhi University must check the DU CUET subject combination 2026 for UG courses offered. While filling the CUET 2026 online form candidates must enter the DU CUET subject combinations as per the UG course criteria. It is mandatory to opt for CUET subjects that align with or are close to the subjects studied in class 12th. Candidates ensure they fulfill the CUET DU course eligibility criteria to qualify for the admission process. CUET UG 2026 registrations last date was extended. Students could fill CUET form 2026 till February 04 at cuet.nta.nic.in. The last date to pay CUET fee 2026 was February 07. NTA has released the list of CUET accepting universities along with the courses offered and CUET subject mapping criteria at NTA official website. CUET 2026 will be held from May 11, 2026 in CBT mode.

Q:   How do I select the domain subjects for CUET UG?

Go on the official website of university/organaisation. Check the courses offered and eligibility test that they should appear in for admission to desired course. The choice of language/domain subject and General test will depend upon the course and university. Candidates will be able to opt for one or more tests as per the requirement of the course and university from the following sections:

  • Section I - 13 Languages
  • Section II - 23 Domain Specific Subjects

From CUET UG 2026 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th. 

Q:   When to apply for CUET exam 2026?
A: 

Candidates could re-apply for CUET exam 2026. NTA reopned the CUET application form 2026 online window. Candidates must have registered for CUET exam and selected appropriate CUET subjects to be eligible for admissions. CUET UG application form 2026 window has been closed.

No, Mathematics is not a compulsory subject to appear for CUET UG exam. NTA conducts CUET UG exam for 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and general test. Candidates can choose any five subjects based on the course and college criteria. CUET Mathematics can be opted if the course criteria suggests.

How to Select DU CUET Subject Combination?

While filling the CUET 2026 application form, candidates must enter the CUET subject combination as per the DU courses eligibility mentioned above. Candidates will be able to choose a maximum of 05 subjects for CUET, which includes 03 or 04 domain subjects, including General Test and 01 or 02 languages.  While selecting DU CUET subjects, candidates must note the important strategies below:

  1. Candidates must align the CUET subjects with the subjects studied in class 12th. It is an important criteria for DU admissions.
  2. Candidates must choose the subjects they are good at. Picking which interests the candidate can boost chances of doing well in the exam.
  3. Candidates must consider what they want to study in college and what career they are interested in. For example, candidate wants to study physics he/she must map Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, and any one of CUET subjects.
  4. Learn about how the DU CUET exam works. Know how questions are asked and top scores.
  5. Talk to career counselors, teachers, or students who have taken the DU CUET exam before. They can share their experiences and give helpful tips for choosing the right subjects.

DU CUET Subject Combination 2026: Correction in Subject Combination

Candidates can modify their DU CUET subject combination 2026 during the CUET form correction window. The National Testing Agency (NTA) allows registered students to add or change CUET subjects within the specified correction period. However, candidates must pay the applicable additional fee if they choose to add new subjects to their CUET application form.

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2026 exam will be held in Computer Based Test mode only. It is an online mode of examination held across various exam cities in India and abroad. Candidates cannot appear for CUET UG exam in offline mode if the exam is being held in online mode only.

National Testing Agency does not release the official CUET UG mock test. This year, it is exected that NTA will release the CUET official mock test on its official website to help candidates become familiar with the exam pattern and mode of examination.

Based on CUET previous year question paper analysis, CUET Business Studies is the comparatively easy subject in CUET commerce subjects. The question paper includes questions based on theory and conceptual understanding. The CUET Business Studies questions does not include complex calculations.
