DU CUET Subject Combination: University of Delhi offers 79 undergraduate programs for the Science, Commerce, and Arts stream. Candidates seeking admission to Delhi University must check the DU CUET subject combination 2026 for UG courses offered. While filling the CUET 2026 online form candidates must enter the DU CUET subject combinations as per the UG course criteria. It is mandatory to opt for CUET subjects that align with or are close to the subjects studied in class 12th. Candidates ensure they fulfill the CUET DU course eligibility criteria to qualify for the admission process. CUET UG 2026 registrations will commence in first week of March 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the list of CUET accepting universities along with the courses offered and CUET subject mapping criteria at NTA official website. CUET 2026 will be held in May and June 2026 in CBT mode.

Q:   How do I select the domain subjects for CUET UG?
A:

Before selecting the test or domain subjects, candidates are advised to visit the official website of university/organaisation they wish to apply for. Candidates must check the courses offered and eligibility test that they should appear in for admission to desired course. The choice of language/domain subject and General test will depend upon the course and university. Candidates will be able to opt for one or more tests as per the requirement of the course and university from the following sections:

  • Section I - 13 Languages
  • Section II - 23 Domain Specific Subjects
  • Section III - General Test
Q:   When can I apply for the CUET exam?
A:

National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the CUET UG 2026 registrations at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates desirous of taking admission to University/college through CUET must fill the application form before the deadline. On the release of the CUET notification important dates for CUET 2026 will be announced. CUET 2025 application process will be in online mode. Candidates will be required to fill the application form, upload documents and pay the application fee in online mode only. CUET is a gateway to more tahn 250 universities across India for its UG courses.

Q:   What is programme specific eligibility criteria in CUET?
A:

For admission to the desirous University/Institution, the candidates must appear in CUET 2026 in the Languages and Domain Specific subjects as per the Program-Specific Eligibility for which s (he) is desirous to take admission. For instance, if a candidate wishes to apply for B.Com (Hons.) programe in Delhi University he/she will be required to make the subject combination as :

Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Mathematics/Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Accountancy/Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1

Candidates are advised to check CUET programme-specific eligibility criteria before filling the application form, failing which they will not qualify for further admission process. 

Compulsory Domain Subjects for CUET in DU

When applying for CUET UG 2026, candidates must choose their CUET UG subjects 2026 carefully. Candidates must ensure to check the DU course-wise eligibility criteria before mapping the CUET subjects. Check compulsory domain subjects that must be chosen for admission in DU through CUET

  • Candidates must select at least four CUET UG subjects to maximise their admission opportunities in DU.
  • The University of Delhi has set specific CUET subject combinations for different courses.

Q:   How many subjects can I choose for the CUET exam?
A:

From CUET UG 2026 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th. 

Q:   If am appearing for multiple slots, will my CUET exam centre remain same for all exams?
A:

Candidates may be allotted different CUET 2026 exam centres for different dates and slots. However, the city would most likely be the same. Candidates must check the exam centre details carefully in the admit card and appear in the correct CUET centre. Candidates will be issued the CUET intimation slip three to four days prior to the day of examination. On release of the CUET intimation slip, candidates can know the exam centre allotted and can make the preparations for travel accordingly.

Candidates must note that different admit card and intimation slip will be issued for each exam. Candidates cannot re-use the admit card of previous slot or session.

Q:   What after I accept the alloted seat through CUET UG?
A:

After accepting the allotted seat through CUET UG 2025, candidates will be required to:

  • Complete the document verification process at the concerned university.
  • Pay the UG course admission fee to confirm seat.
  • Submit all required documents for verification process.
  • Complete any additional formalities as instructed by the university.

How to Select DU CUET Subject Combination?

While filling the CUET 2026 application form, candidates must enter the CUET subject combination as per the DU courses eligibility mentioned above. Candidates will be able to choose a maximum of 05 subjects for CUET, which includes 03 or 04 domain subjects, including General Test and 01 or 02 languages.  While selecting DU CUET subjects, candidates must note the important strategies below:

  1. Candidates must align the CUET subjects with the subjects studied in class 12th. It is an important criteria for DU admissions.
  2. Candidates must choose the subjects they are good at. Picking which interests the candidate can boost chances of doing well in the exam.
  3. Candidates must consider what they want to study in college and what career they are interested in. For example, candidate wants to study physics he/she must map Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, and any one of CUET subjects.
  4. Learn about how the DU CUET exam works. Know how questions are asked and top scores.
  5. Talk to career counselors, teachers, or students who have taken the DU CUET exam before. They can share their experiences and give helpful tips for choosing the right subjects.

No, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, CSJM University is not under CUET. The college accepts scores of certain other entrance exams for admission, such as- JEE Mains. Hence, CUET is not required.
