Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University offers admission based on merit and entrance. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% to 60% in Class 12 for UG level admissions. Whereas, for PG level admissions, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% to 55% in graduation. Considering the percentage for merit, candidates with 85% have a convenience of seeking admission by clearing first round of selection. However, for the further process, candidates must qualify remaining selection rounds.

There are a total of 870 seats for BSc at PDM University. Candidates can get a seat in the BSc course based on their last educational qualification. Once the selection process is over, shortlisted candidates are called for document verification. Selected aspirants are required to pay the course fee to confirm their admission in the university.

The UG-level programme is available in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Computer science, PCM, ZBC, etc. The programme lasts for three to four years, as the course comes with a exit options. Students can exit the course with a BSc degree, after completing three years. Further, on completion of four years, students are awarded with BSc (Hons) with research.
