Mystory@Rushabh Shah: How I realised the importance of studying
Statistics being a niche field and not many people opting for this course as specialisation for BSc, made me look at this course with interest. I was a curious and avid History student, so if given a chance I would have chosen Arts as a career field.
Looking back I don't regret coming into the Science field and doing BSc instead of Engineering as most people do. I made many mistakes like taking the subjects lightly and getting carried away with the "things" of college life like bunking etc. But by the last year of college I realised the importance of studies and especially the field I opted for and made sure I secured good marks and had a job in hand in campus placement.
The first job didn't pay me much. In fact it was less than an IITian's stipend, I guess, but the learnings I had there is the main reason behind me being able to progress in my career. I am working as an Assistant Manager and will be travelling abroad soon for a project, so all in all I am very happy.
