Rajasthan Pre PG entrance exam is the admission gateway for the MSc and MFSc programmes in Agriculture and Allied Sciences offered by the State Agricultural Universities of Rajasthan. The conducting body of the Rajasthan Pre PG 2026 exam, Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University (SKNAU), Jaipur, will release the Rajasthan Pre PG 2026 exam pattern.

According to the previous year's pattern of the exam, the Rajasthan Pre PG entrance exam is an objective-type exam of two hours duration. The mode of the exam is paper-and-pencil-based. The total number of questions is 100.

The Rajasthan Pre PG 2026 exam pattern varies from course to course; however, it is expected that the structure of the exam will remain the same. Q:   What is the correct way of marking the answer to the Rajasthan Pre PG 2024 exam on the OMR sheet?
A: 

Candidates should shade or colour the circle adjacent to the correct answer option uniformly, without leaving any white space on it. Also, the ink should not cross the circumference of the circle. A blue ballpoint pen, which will be provided at the test centre.

The candidates are required to choose the most appropriate option and blacken the corresponding circle with the “Black Ball Point Pen” in the OMR sheet (Details for filling answer sheet are given on back side of OMR sheet).

Q:   What type of questions asked in the Rajasthan Pre PG exam?
A: 

Rajasthan Pre PG exam 2024 will be test candidates domain knowledge in the form of Multiple choice questions (MCQs). The Question Paper would be covering the most of the subjects studied in Undergraduate Degree programme. The question paper in the form of question booklet will be only in English and consists of 100 Multiple Choice Type Questions. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in this test only.

Q:   What is the Rajasthan Pre PG examination scheme?
A: 

There would be a separate question paper for each subject of Pre-PG examination. Candidate who wants to give examination for both Pre-PG Agriculture and Pre-PG Horticulture subjects, then he/she must fill separate application form for each Pre-PG
Entrance Examination. Also, the candidate must ensure his/her eligibility for the examination as per the subject wise
eligibility criteria mentioned in the table given in point no. 10 of this booklet. The university won't make any modifications regarding this matter. The Question Paper will cover most of the subjects studied in the Undergraduate Degree
programme. 

Q:   What are the educational qualifications required to appear in Rajasthan Pre PG?
A: 

A candidate must have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA in the four years undergraduate qualifying degree examinations. A relaxation of 5% marks would be allowed to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/ MBC/EWS/SAP categories. The candidates taking the advantage of 5% relaxation will not be considered in UR category.
Candidates who have appeared at any of the aforesaid qualifying examinations and whose results have not been declared before the commencement of the Pre-PG shall provisionally be allowed to appear in the examination. The result of the examinations i.e. Degree/Provisional degree and Transcript is essential at the time of option form filling.

Rajasthan Pre PG 2026 Exam Taking Instructions

  • The question paper will be in the form of a booklet

  • The candidates have to answer on the OMR sheets provided with a blue ballpoint pen

  • Only one answer option has to be marked. Selecting or marking multiple answer options will incur negative marking

  • The circle adjacent to the correct answer option has to be shaded evenly, without leaving any blank space

  • Rough work has to be done on the exam booklet and it has to be submitted along with the OMR sheet at the end of the exam

  • There is no negative marking scheme applied for questions that are not attempted

  • Candidates must go through the questions carefully and then mark those which they are comfortable with and attempt those

  • Test-takers should not write their name or sign anywhere within the exam booklet or OMR sheet

  • The duration of the exam is two hours and there is no break in between

  • In case the seal of the question booklet is broken, or the printing is not clear, candidates have to request for change within 10 minutes.

The other two courses, Home Science/Community Science (Community & Applied Science) and Fisheries Science have an equal number of sections or subjects, which is five. Hence, these courses of the Rajasthan Pre PG 2024 exam are tested on the basis of the lowest number of sections or subjects.

 Although the broad outline of the Rajasthan Pre PG 2024 exam is the same across courses, which includes duration and a total number of questions, the subjects or areas and their weightages vary as per courses.

There will be a total of 100 questions asked in the examination according to the domain specific which candidate has applied for. The candidates desiring admission in M.Sc. (Agriculture)/ M.Sc. (Horticulture)/ M.Sc. (Forestry)/
M.Sc. Home Science/Community Science have to attempt the paper of respective Pre-PG.
