The candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% of the maximum marks.  Physical Fitness Certificate and No Color Blindness Certificate are also a must.  The selection process is first-come, first-served, and admission is based on merit.  You have good prospects of securing a seat if you fulfill all these conditions.

50% of seats in KBNU are alloted through KEA CET and the other 50% through the KBNU entrance exam. You must have 45%  in class 12th and must have PCM as main subjects with chemistry, computer, biology, biotechnology, and electronics as optional subjects with English as a mandatory language subject. For sc/st candidates 40% marks are the eligibility criteria.

Completion of Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics  (PCM) is mandatory. Some institutions might consider PCB  (with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), but this is less common.

Scoring well in competitive entrance exams like JEE Main and specific state-level engineering entrance exams is crucial for admission.
