Both the options are different. I will suggest you to pursue a course as international students are eligible to apply for work permit after they graduate. Passing out from a Canadian University will give you a good hold of the situation and opportunities there. What you want to study is up to you, you may pursue Masters in mechanical engineering if you want to settle down in R and D sector or switch to MBA or MS in management. You should probably check with an immigration consultant for work related issues. It is very true that your degree granting institution must be recognized for further studies and work. Secondly, you must also have work experience and exceptional talents. You can think about pursuing another degree from a Canadian Institute and then look for a job there. International students can work for 2 to 3 years after graduation, if you get a good job you can apply for a PR too.
