The minimum criteria to take admission at Calcutta Institute of Technology B.E./B.Tech is a *10+2 with PCM (minimum 45 % aggregate).* Valid scores are considered in either the *WBJEE* or the *JEE Main* entrance tests to select. Only the passing students should then take part in the *central based WBJEE Counselling on the internet*. These include online registration, filling of choices (including CIT), seat allotment on basis of merit and lastly reporting to the institute to do the document verification and fee payment to complete the admission.

70% of seats (Category A) at LITM, Guntur require an Andhra Pradesh EAMCET score for admission to the B.E./B.Tech programme through APSCHE counselling. However entrance without the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET is permitted because 30% of seats (Category B) are filled using management quota. Candidates must have a PCM of 45% in 10+2 (or 40% in reserved groups).
