Software engineering is the application of engineering to the development of software in a systematic method. Every CS engineer is trained in software engineering during graduation and post graduation degrees. No polytechnic offers Diploma in software engineering. You can choose either Diploma in computer science or Diploma in computer engineering and then take lateral entry admission in B.Tech in software engineering.

It is not recommended to join an institute, which is not affiliated to UGC or AICTE and which is ranked below B grade. You should choose top 50 B-schools for good career.

What do you mean by B.Tech through Diploma? Do you want to do B.Tech after Diploma in engineering? Your question is bit confusing. You are requested to reframe it.

You are eligible to seek admission if your percentage in B.Tech is above 50%. You can apply for MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, SNAP, NMAT, etc.

Yes, of course you can take any branch in B.Tech through lateral entry scheme. For that, you will have to appear in LEET entrance exam conducted by each state university and some deemed universities.
