The PSUs job salary through GATE ranges between INR 7,00,000 PA to INR 18,00,000 PA and varies with the respective PSU's guidelines. This salary range is applicable for the candidates selected under the designations such as Graduate Trainee (get), Executive Trainees (ET), Engineer Trainee (ET), Management Trainee (MT), and Trainee Engineers (TE). Also, the Salary range varies from the category of PSU I. e. whether it's a MAHARATNA, NAVRATNA, MINI RATNA, and also whether you are taken up as Graduate Trainee or an Officer. So, Case-1, If you are selected as Officer;
For MAHARATNA like IOCL, ONGC and the initial salary has a basic of INR 24900, and DA, TA, and Cafeteria allowance take up this salary amount to nearly INR 55,000 to INR 60,000 per month in hand after all deductions. Also, performance-related pay (PRP) is around IJNR 80,000 to INR 1,00,000 which is paid at the end of one service year. MAHARATNA like BHEL has first-year basic pay of INR 20,600 and 2nd year onwards INR 24,900 (same as IOCL) Meanwhile, for SAIL it is INR 16,400 as basic pay during the first year. Case-2, If recruited as Graduate Trainee;
You will get only basic pay of INR 24900 (in IOCL). There will be no extra allowance like DA, TA, HRA, etc. But it is not frequent. The highest package that you can get from any PSU right after recruitment through GATE (Till date since the 7th pay commission for PSU is about to come) - ONGC and IOCL
CTC = INR 12 LPA (As notified in their GATE 2017 advertisement) and In hand= INR 7.2 LPA (approximately)
The average salary for MAHARATNA or NAVRATNANA is INR 5.5 LPA- INR 6.5 LPA (in hand). I hope this will help you.
