To get admission in a decent NIT, regardless of branch preferences, a percentile score of 97 is optimistic for general category students. However marks required for 97 percentile differs on the basis of the hardness of the shift and relative performance of other students. A score of 130+ is considered target for a hard exam paper whereas 145 for a easier one. All the very best!

Yes, SGT University accepts JEE Main scores for admission to its technical courses. While it gives preference to candidates who have appeared in JEE Main. The university also considers merit marks in the qualifying examination for admission to various courses. The selection process for B.Tech course is JEE MAINS.

The minimum score required for any course at this institute is 80 marks.

But for good branches like CSE and ECE one should score between 90-100.

There is reservation for OBC, ST, SC and female students so they can assume their cutoff 10-20 marks less than the above mentioned marks.

The applicant must have received a non-zero score on these qualifying exams.It could be difficult to get into KJ Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology (Mumbai) with a JEE Mains score of 61 percentile. Every year, KJ Somaiya has a different cutoff for admittance, but normally it falls between the 85th and 95th percentile.

The Joint Entrance Examination allows its candidates to correct the mistakes once through the correction window . If you have filled the wrong category by mistake, you can change it and pay the remaining fees as charges are different for each category.

There is no restriction on the type of photo for the JEE MAIN Entrance Examination, as long as it is clear and meets the following criteria: 

Photograph format - JPEG/JPG .

Dimention - 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.

Size of the photograph - 10kb to 200kb. 

Regular glasses are allowed for candidates with spectacles however no sunglassed are allowed in the photograph.

The candidates cannot secure a seat in any government engineering college without appearing for the entrance exam. The seats are given based on the score of the exam. Candidates after taking the exam need to check the merit list of the college and after clearing the exam the candidates are eligible for counselling. After the counseling rounds, candidates can secure their seats by paying the fees.
