MAKAUT Course Admissions 2025: Registration, Eligibility, Fee & Dates

No, admission to MAKAUT is based on entrance exams for courses such as BTech. Candidates wanting to get admission to MAKAUT for BTech must qualify West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) exam and WBJEE Counselling. Those willing to get admission in the second year must appear for JELET (for Lateral Entry). MAKAUT also accepts JEE Main exam for BTech admission. 

MAKAUT University accepts both merit and entrance based exam scores. The university conducts CET exam in June for admission to courses such as BSc, MSc, BBA and BCA courses. MAKAUT conducts JEMAT for admission to MBA and MHA courses. It also accepts a few other state/ national-level entrance exams such as WBJEE, PGET,  UGC NET  (including JRF)/ CSIR NET for admission to UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes.

MAKAUT offers admission MBA course based on CAT scores through the affiliated colleges. The top affiliated colleges for MBA are Camellia School of Business Management, AIM, Supreme Knowledge Foundation Group of Institutions, Budge Institute of Technology and GIMT. As per the last year's cutoff MAKAUT CAT cutoff 2022, the overall CAT Percentile required for Camellia School of Business Management was 80, whereas for AIM, Supreme Knowledge Foundation Group of Institutions, Budge Institute of Technology and GIMT, the required CAT percentile was 25. MAKAUT offers admission to MCA based on WBJEE JECA scores followed by the WBJEE JECA Counselling. WBJEE JECA Counselling 2023 was concluded after the release of Round 2. As per the last year, candidates can expect MAKAUT MCA cutoff for all category to be around 214 as the closing rank for R1 has remained same for all categories. Admission to BBA at MAKAUT is based on the CET exam conducted by the university. Eligible candidates seeking admission must have qualified Class 12 to appear for this exam. Final selected candidates get their names in the merit lists released by the university. Such candidates can pay the admission fee within the pre-defined timelines to book their seats. 

The MCA fees at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) range between INR 80 K - INR 3.2 lakh. The duration of the course is between two to three years. The entrance exams accepted include WBJEE JECA, JCECE, etc. Moreover, candidates also need to pass Class 12 and graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

The total tuition fee for a two-year MAKAUT M.Tech programme ranges from INR 36,000 to INR 23.9 lakh. Since, this is the totak tuition fees, overall fee may include other components such as security deposists, exam fees, etc. This fee is given in a range, as the fees for a few MTech specialisations vary from the others.
