If you want to take admission in the CSE branch in Chandigarh University, then I think you should have at least 60% in 12th with the subjects Physics and Math and for specialisation in CSE, the 12th percentage should be minimum of 70%. There is one CUCET exam which is mandatory to pass and you can also avail a scholarship in this exam.

For CSE, LPU is often preferred by many because of the number of companies visiting and the overall placement exposure it offers compared to SRM.

From what I've seen, LPU has a wide range of recruiters, so there are usually more chances during placements. SRM, especially the main campus, also has good placements.

Personally, it feels like both colleges provide opportunities, but LPU gives a bit more flexibility and chances because of the scale. At the same time, results in either place still depend a lot on skills and preparation.

NSHM Durgapur BTech cutoff 2025 was 98492 for the General AI category for the BTech CSE (AI) course. In 2024, the cutoff was 34626 for the same category. This huge jump in the qualifying ranks suggests that the competition has decreased over the years.
