GATE Scores

For BITS HD 2026 exam admissions, valid GATE scores of 2026, 2025, and 2024 will be accepted for the counselling/iterations. Candidates applying through GATE score, must check and provide their best scores in the BITS HD registration form. Such candiates are exempted from attempting the exam. 

Yes, GATE scores are accepted for admission to BITS Pilani campuses. However, admission to the M.E in software systems will only be through the BITS HD exam. Candidates applying through GATE exam will have to provide their valid GATE scores for admission. 

IIIT Bangalore considers GATE score for admission to MTech programme. In 2023, admission were offered in MTech ECE to candidates with GATE score up to 430. Whereas the closing cutoff for CSE was 480. The closing scores in the last round of the GATE cutoff 2024 ranged from 398 to 352 in the General AI category. The last round closing rank for M. Tech ranged from 356 to 424. The minimum GATE cutoff 2023 for M. Tech in CSE was 356. A score range of 600 to 700 is considered to be a good score.
