A GRE score is not required for most of the programs at Missouri State. However, some graduate programs demand GRE/GMAT scores along with other requirements including a bachelor's degree from a recognised organisation or equivalent, English language requirements, GPA, and more. In addition, students who score a GPA of more than or equivalent to 3.75 on a 4-point scale, are not required to submit a GRE score. But if they score lower than the required, they must submit it to compensate during admission.

Academic strengths: If your math skills tend to be stronger than your verbal skills, the GMAT might offer a better opportunity to show off those strengths. If you're a strong writer, consider the GRE. Due to the vocabulary involved, the GRE can sometimes be more challenging for non-native English speakers.

For graduate courses, test scores like GRE / GMAT / LSAT are only required if students have GPA lower than 3.0. The admission requirements vary as per the courses but, at least, the applicants should have an undergraduate degree. Besides this, the applicants should also submit English language proficiency score.

San Jose State University does not require GRE scores for admission to some programs, such as the MS Software Engineering, for students with a degree from an ABET-accredited institution. However, GRE scores are required for applicants from other universities. For those submitting GRE scores, the minimum requirements are typically a combined Quantitative and Verbal score of 294 or higher, and an Analytical Writing score of at least 3.0. These scores must come from a single test date and will be considered a critical factor in the evaluation process.
