Indian students at the Heriot-Watt Uni are required to pay their tuition fees in full within 30 days of their programme start date. Students can also set up an 6-month instalment plan to pay their fees over the semester (on the 15th of every month from October to March).

Students can pay their fees at HWU using Convera.

Yes, the Heriot-Watt Uni does allow Indian students to pay their fees in fixed installments. Students can opt for a six-month instalment plan by following the steps below:

  • Go to the online payment portal
  • Select 'Pay Your Fees Online'
  • Log in
  • Select 'Recurring Card Plan'

For all recurring card plans, instalments are taken on the 15th of the month.

Indian students need to make a GBP 4,000 (INR 5.1 Lakhs) deposit to confirm enrolment at the Heriot-Watt Uni UK. This deposit allows students to get their CAS letter from the university. The CAS can then be used to get the UK student visa to study in the country.

Yes, Heriot Watt is ranked by some of the top ranking bodies in the latest years like the US World & News, The Guardian, the Complete Guide, QS World and THE. 

As per the US World & News rankings 2025, Heriot Watt University is ranked at #937 which is a huge decline from its previous year ranking of #832. These rankings are constantly declining over the years.

Yes, students from any of the Heriot-Watt UK campus can transfer to its Dubai or Malaysia campus for a semester or longer. This can be done using the Go Global from the UK programme of the university.

Students can request for a transfer in using the MyHWU - Inter-Campus Transfer application on the Student Self Service portal.
