Yes. HPCET cutoff will be different for every category. According to the candidate's selection of course, college and category, the minimum scores to be secured for higher chances of admissions will be different. As per the cutoff trends, the HPCET cutoff for popular courses and colleges will be higher. Candidates are advised to check the previous year cutoff trends to understand the score range that will get the higher chances of admissions into their preferred courses and colleges. 

The authorities will use the HPCET cutoff for seat allotment and admission process. The candidates who meet the HPCET cutoff will have higher chances of allotment. However, they will not be guaranteed admissions as other factors will also be considered for HPCET admissions. The authorities will prepare the cutoff of HPCET to shortlist the candidates for admissions into the various BTech courses offered by the participating institutes.

The candidates can check the previous years' HPCET cutoff to know their chances of admissions into their preferred colleges and courses. Through the previous years' cutoffs, the candidates will know the course-wise, college-wise and category-wise minimum scores that had to be secured for higher chances of admissions. However, the cutoff may vary due to various factors such as the difficulty level, number of candidates applying for a course/college, total number of available seats and more.

To prepare the HPCET cutoff, the authorities will consider various factors related to the entrance examination. Some of the important factors that are checked while preparing the cutoff of HPCET are - previous year cutoff trends, total number of candidates, difficulty level of the exam, number of seats available for admission, etc. HPCET cutoff will be used to select candidates for admissions into the participating institutes of the state. 

HPCET answer key will consist of the correct responses to the question paper of the entrance exam. The correct answers can be compared to the candidate's individual responses and the probable scores secured in HPCET can be calculated. Candidates can compare their scores with the previous year's cutoff trends and know their tentative allotment status. HPCET answer key can also be used by the students who are preparing for the next year's examination cycle. 

Yes, The authorities will release the final HPCET answer key. After receiving the objections submitted against the provisional HPCET answer key, the authorities will review them. The final answer key of HPCET will be prepared after all of the objections are reviewed. Candidates will be able to use the final HPCET answer key to calculate their probable secured scores in the entrance exam. The authorities will not accept any objections against the final answer key. HPCET results will be prepared based on the final HPCET answer key.

HPCET 2026 answer key date will be announced soon. Candidates can access the HPCET answer key as PDFs. The authorities will make the answer key available online at himtu.ac.in. No other mode will be used to release the answer key of HPCET. The correct responses to the question paper will be available through the answer key. Using the answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores secured in the examination.

Yes. The candidates will be able to personally submit the objections against the provisonal HPCET answer key. To raise the objections physically, the candidates will have to submit their written complaints to the office of the Controller of Examinations, H.P. Technical University, Gandhi Chowk, Hamirpur (H.P.)-177001. Along with the complaint, the candidates will have to submit the supporting documents/proofs. If the candidates fail to submit the supporting documents/proofs, then the authorities will not accept the objection.

There is no fee to raise objections against the HPCET answer key. All candidates will be eligible to submit their objections either personally or through email. While sending the objections, the candidates have to ensure that they also provide the supporting documents/proof. If the candidates do not send supporting proof to their objections, then the authorities will reject the submitted claims. The authorities are expected to release the last date to raise objections soon. 

Yes. Students can raise objections against the provisional HPCET answer key. The final date to submit the objections will be annnounced soon. The authorities will accept objections against the answer key in two modes - physically at the University or through email. If the candidates opt to send the objections through email, then they will have to send the same along with the supporting documents/solutions to arsecrecy[at]gmail.com. After the final date, the authorities will not accept any objections.
