Case I: Candidates graduating / graduated from IITs who have a valid GATE score (2024 and/or 2023 and/or 2022) and intend to apply for the Admission in the participating Institutes, then the candidate should register at COAP with their qualified GATE score (s).
Case II: Candidates graduating/ graduated from IITs with B.Tech. Degree and having CGPA (cumulative grade point average) of 8.0 (on a scale of 10) and above can directly apply to the respective Institutes for MTech Admission. They may not register at COAP.

The year 2023 cutoff ranks for BTech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Tirupati for candidates other than General category are - 4543 for OBC, 2612 for SC, 1125 for ST, 1962 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

BTech at IIT Jammu is available across seven specialisations. IIT Jammu's UG courses include 20% seats (category wise) for IIT Jammu + IIM Jammu dual degree program (four-year BTech of IIT Jammu and two-year MBA of IIM Jammu). The transition to IIM Jammu MBA is to be opted by the end of the third year of the IIT Jammu BTech course. This is a direct transition to IIM Jammu MBA programme that too without CAT and is subject to having a minimum CGPA of 7.0 in the BTech course. All these specialisations are as follows:

IISc Bangalore (result announcing body of GATE) will announce the GATE 2026 result. To check the result, students will have to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. After the result announcement, qualified candidates can use their scores to apply for admission through the COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) for MTech seats at IIT Jammu.

Yes, GATE exam dates have been announced. The GATE application form gets released on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The exam will be conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Students will be required to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). The GATE syllabus is based on General Aptitude and Core Discipline, carrying a weightage of 15% and 85% respectively.
