Hello Shreyash Banjare, National testing agency announces the cutoff for seeking admission in NIT and also to appear for JEE Advanced examination in the form of percentiles for each category of students. The cut-off marks for admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) vary every year and are dependent on various factors such as the number of candidates applying, difficulty level of the exam, and availability of seats. However, based on your JEE Main score of 165 and your OBC-NCL category, it may be difficult for you to get admission in the NITs of Surathkal, Trichy or Warangal as the cut-off for these institutes is generally higher. To know your chances of admission in various NITs, you can check the previous year's cut-off marks. It is also advisable to keep a track of the official website of Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA for the latest updates on the admission process and cut-off marks.
