Lateral admission is possible for B.Sc, but very few colleges provide lateral entry for BA. Hence, Diploma holder student can take lateral entry admission for B.Sc or BA.

Sorry, lateral entry is not possible in CEG or MIT (university departments).
You can try other meritorious options such as GCT Coimbatore or CIT Coimbatore if you are trying for lateral entry.

Colleges do give lateral entry in second year but you need to contact the both the colleges for their final taking,

You should consult with admission authorities if you are eligible for lateral transfer. Most universities permit lateral transfers in the beginning of the course(1st and 2nd year). Moreover students having a good academic record have a better chance of getting a lateral transfer. If your college has a tie-up with the target institute, your chances would be better for a transfer. Make sure you first block a seat before you give up your seat in the current college. Good Luck!!
